RE-USE IT! Exchange for the Environment
Sponsored by the Environmental Committee
At 9:30 a.m. the Rockdale Temple Environmental Committee will begin taking donations for its “RE-USE IT!” Exchange of gently-used household items, books, toys, games, puzzles, CDs, baby items, kitchenware, decorative pieces, artwork, hobby supplies, table-top appliances, lamps and small furniture, tools, and sport equipment.
We will not accept clothing or food, but will accept just about anything else in good condition that is easy to handle, can be loaded into any 4-door car, and weighs under 10 lbs. Please note that the committee has the right to refuse any item and can make no guarantee of the soundness or safety of any item.
Donations will be accepted from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and the exchange will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Donors will be given a ticket for each item they bring. Each ticket may be used to claim one other item in exchange. No items will be sold for money.

“Be the Match” Drive
Sponsored by Brotherhood & Women of Rockdale
(Can be done in conjunction with other mitzvah opportunities)
Stop by for a few minutes to be swabbed and join the National Bone Marrow Registry! (This does not mean you will be chosen, or that you must agree to donating bone marrow).

Cemetery Beautification
Join Karen Zanger in planting and clean-up in one of the cemeteries of Jewish Cemeteries of Greater Cincinnati. All ages are welcome.

Crafts for Kids + Kids @ Heart
Join Jennifer Clark in making birthday cards for New Americans, who will celebrate their birthdays at a big celebration on January 13, 2018. (At Rockdale)

Rockdale Reaches Out
Rockdale Reaches Out is continuing its efforts to build mentor relationships and friendships with the New American community in response to the worldwide refugee crisis. Refugee Connect and Haven Supper Club will present and train Rockdale members and families who would like to be “matched” to a New American family. (At Rockdale)

Crayons to Computers
Join together at this center aimed at equipping all children for school and their futures. Help in sorting “Push for Pencils” donations so that children might benefit. This is a Youth Group activity, and will take place at Crayons to Computers.

Hillside Clean-Up
Come get your hands dirty in the afternoon with Rockdale’s Environmental Committee! Help remove honeysuckle, weeds, and small dead trees between the driveway and Cross County Highway. Bring gloves and garden cutting tools, and be sure to wear sturdy boots. This is a challenging adult activity. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
