At the time the CYJL program was established several years ago, our family’s decision to make a meaningful legacy gift to Rockdale Temple was easy. For several generations, members of my family have been active participants at Rockdale; so many of our fondest memories and traditions were created at the Temple.
I remember from an early age my father’s guidance and strong recommendation that community involvement, especially with regard to the Temple, should play a big part in my life, which would undoubtedly bring great satisfaction and “wholeness” to my life. He was certainly wise in his advice. Rockdale’s glorious history, combined with its ongoing relevance and position in the Cincinnati community today, make me proud to be in a leadership role at this time.
I think we all have a duty to seriously consider sustaining this great institution so it will be around for many, many generations, providing spiritual guidance, Jewish learning, and social justice awareness to our children, grandchildren, and beyond. Wendy and I urge everyone to consider a lasting gift to Rockdale Temple. You will be leaving your mark on our future.
