Adult Education: Rak Limud
As life-long learners, we take to heart the obligation to engage in study. We define limud, or study, broadly. We learn together each Saturday morning through Sichat Torah, a Torah discussion. In addition, we offer a dynamic curriculum of courses, seminars and participatory experiences, based on a foundation of Jewish values and practices, which are meaningful and useful to adult learners whether or not their backgrounds have included ongoing Jewish education. As a community of learners, we learn through dialogue and understanding of topics, including Jewish Texts and Traditions, Ethics and Values, History, Culture and Israel as well as Adult Hebrew and Prayer. Our explorations range from Yoga to Talmud Study, from Cooking to American Jewish History.
Each year our Rak Limud: Adult Education committee coordinates a variety of classes, lectures, and discussions to deepen our understanding of Judaism. To make suggestions for classes or begin your journey of Jewish learning, contact Rabbi Kahan.
