Rockdale Temple members have been volunteering at the OTR Kitchen and preparing Sunday lunches for more than 25 years. Donations of money and paper supplies, etc. are still needed and welcome during the current pandemic. Also, while OTR is now opened for cooking on site by volunteers, we are not yet volunteering in person.
While we're waiting to return, we encourage Rockdale members interested in providing food to the hungry to volunteer as a Food Runner at La Soupe - lasoupe.org. La Soupe is a food reclamation project that shuttles extra food from groceries and restaurants to the agencies that need it. You can choose to sign up for a shift to pick up or deliver food in your car as often as you like, and they have strict COVID protocols so you never have to leave your car. If you're interested, we ask that you register with Rockdale using the form below, and we'll send you the sign-up link.
