Welcome to Rockdale Temple!
Rockdale Temple is a kehal kodesh, a sacred congregation, made up of individuals and families who come together to celebrate lives of meaning. Rockdale members are of every age and stage, family composition, racial and ethnic identity, sexual and gender orientation, and ability. We are committed to valuing, affirming, and celebrating every person in our community. We are fully inclusive of interfaith families and strive to meet each person where they are.
Rockdale Temple is almost 200 years old - together, we look forward to a bright future filled with learning, acts of justice, and building community. For generations, we have created and transformed around Jewish values and found meaning in the teachings of Torah and the Reform Movement.
Rockdale Temple is led by Rabbi Meredith Kahan, an inspiring leader who guides our congregation with compassion and integrity. She is passionate about serving our community in moments of joy, sorrow, and everything in between. She instills meaning and Torah into all that we do, through engaging our community in lifelong Jewish learning that inspires us to wrestle with life's biggest questions.
Our congregation honors the past, values lifelong learning, and works toward a future full of meaning and connection. We welcome you to Rockdale Temple, our sacred community.
