Overview of the 2021-22 Kehal Kodesh program:
Religious School/Sundays – Students Pre-K through 8th Grade
Sundays: 9:30am - all School T'filah
10:00am-12:00pm - Learning Activities with class cohorts
Our morning will include family t'filah, class learning, specialties, community connection, Family Education programs,
holiday programming, and more!
*Weather permitting, these sessions will be outdoors at the back of the JCC Campus. If needed, classes will move indoors, with everyone masked regardless of their vaccination status.
Hebrew School/Tuesdays – Students 3rd Grade through 7th Grade
For 3rd-5th Graders, there are 2 options for Tuesday afternoon:
• In-person, 30-minute tutoring session at Rockdale Temple
• Online, 30-minute tutoring session
* Sessions to take place between 4-6pm as scheduled with tutor, family, and Rabbi Binder
For 6th-7th Graders, online small group learning, with individual sessions as needed
• 6th Grade - Trope class, 5-5:45pm
• 7th Grade - Rak Ivrit
SPECIAL PROGRAM for ALL Hebrew Learners: YOM IVRIT
Several times throughout the year, we will gather all our Hebrew learners at Rockdale Temple for a special Hebrew
enrichment program that will include small group learning, t'filah, Hebrew games, Israeli cultural experiences, and
dinner.
Special Programs
• Opening Day in Montgomery Park on Sunday, August 29!
• Family Education for all grades
• Boker Balagan ("Crazy Morning") with camp presentation by the GUCI staff
• Holiday programming for Sukkot, Chanukah, Purim, Passover, and more
• Class Shabbat - each grade will be a part of Friday night Shabbat services and share dinner together
• Family Retreat at Hueston Woods - SAVE THE DATE: Februrary 4-6, 2022
