I have had the pleasure of serving on the Rockdale Board for the past two-and-a-half years. Over this period of time, I have learned how important it is for us as congregants and as Jews to support our community. The beauty of CYJL is that you are creating YOUR OWN legacy. There is absolutely no pressure to give a certain amount of money and there are multiple ways in which to lend support. For example, many people have chosen to pledge money to more than one organization. Thankfully, we have many wonderful and deserving organizations in Cincinnati.
I chose to participate in CYJL not because I'm on the Board, but because I am raising my family in Cincinnati. Should my children and (hopefully one day) grandchildren choose to spend their adult years in Cincinnati, they will have the same, if not more, access to fantastic Jewish programming, support, thriving synagogues, and a wonderful supportive community.
