April 14 - Learn about "Rachel" featuring research by Rockdale Temple congregant and PhD Candidate, Caroline Winstel. Come see why Rachel is rightfully considered the "founding mother" of modern Hebrew poetry by women.
April 21 - Yehuda Amichai a poet-hero of Israel, and one of the world’s greatest poets at large. Amichai’s poetry has been translated into more than 40 languages and speaks to the hearts of people regardless of their country of origin.
April 28 - Poetry is a medium that can help us understand ourselves and our world in ways that prose cannot. “Love in the Time of Corona” by Israeli poet Gilad Meiri, was composed in March of 2020. Like the Israeli poets he admires, Meiri uses the physicality of everyday life to reflect on the issues we face and the big ideas that concern us.
