Welcome to K.K. Bene Israel, familiarly known as Rockdale Temple. Rockdale Temple is the oldest congregation west of the Allegheny Mountains.  Founded in 1824, Rockdale Temple has always been at the forefront of Reform Judaism in America and was one of the founding congregations of the Union for Reform Judaismand the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. Our synagogue emphasizes the importance of individuals and we strive to welcome new members into our community. For the first time, we are producing a pictorial directory! This should help us foster even a greater sense of community here at Rockdale. We have set up dates in March and May in order to allow as many members as possible to take advantage of this opportunity.
